Pastor Jon started at UMBC in October 2008 in a temporary position to provide pulpit supply. In spring 2009, the church invited Jon, his wife Tara, and son Corbin to consider a permanent position in Ulysses. They accepted and moved to our community in June 2009.
Although UMBC is Pastor Jon's first full-time pastorate, he has been involved in ministry for several years now. Currently, he is seeking his Master of Divinity through Trinity Theological Seminary.
Jon is from Philadelphia, PA and his wife Tara is a good old Kansas girl from Garden City.
Jon enjoys hiking, camping, mountain climbing, hunting, fishing, racquetball, golf, softball, basketball, reading, and yard work. Meanwhile, Tara might be found reading, singing, hiking, gardening, scrap-booking, biking, golfing, swimming, mini-golfing, bowling, and spending time with Jon and Corbin.
