Actually 1 1/2
yard for each side of blanket works really well for the blankets
to use to sit and watch TV. I usually use 1 yard each for baby
blankets. I use 2 yards each for larger adult blankets.
Lay the 2 layers on top of each other. Lay down two yard sticks to
even out the edges and trim off extra to straighten.
Cut out a 3" square on each corner. Cut in 2 1/2 inches on both
salvage side and cut 3" in on the other sides. The salvage edges
(ridge of material) stretches more so it looks longer if you don't cut
it shorter.
Cut strips 1" apart all the way around the blanket. Tie the two
strips together/Tie again...makes a little bow all of the way
around. Looks really pretty with solid color fleece on one side.
