The Kansas CattleWomen and
KSU Collegiate CattleWomen would like to invite you to join us in
Manhattan, Kansas, for the ANCW Region 7 Meeting. We have put together a
wonderful line up of presentations, meals, and tours to please
CattleWomen of all ages. Along with the ANCW business, we will discuss
animal welfare, beef nutrition, and women in the beef industry with a
special gathering for collegiates. Pack your bag, bring a fellow
CattleWoman and head to Kansas March 31- April 2, 2011!

KANSAS CATTLEWOMEN $1200 Scholarship
The Kansas CattleWomen (KCW) is offering a $1,200 scholarship to a
female high school senior or college student who is a Kansas resident
planning to study or majoring in agriculture, foods and nutrition or any
beef-related field. Members of the Southwest Kansas CattleWomen are
offering a $1,000 scholarship to a college junior, senior or graduate
student whose permanent residence is in the 19-county area of southwest
Kansas. Both scholarship applications are available on
www.kansascattlewomen.org.
Students applying for the KCW scholarship must
maintain a minimum of a 3.0 grade point average. The application

SOUTHWEST KANSAS $1000 SCHOLARSHIP:
College students majoring in a division of agriculture,
foods and nutrition and/or a beef related area of study are invited to
apply for a $500 per semester scholarship for two semesters sponsored by
the Southwest Kansas Cattlewomen.
The Cattlewomen will
award their scholarship to a young person who will be a college junior,
senior or graduate student working toward a degree from a major
four-year university next fall, and whose permanent residence is within
the following Southwest Kansas counties: Clark, Finney, Ford, Grant,
Gray, Greeley, Hamilton, Haskell, Hodgeman, Kearny, Lane, Meade, Morton,
Ness, Seward, Scott, Stanton, Stevens or Wichita. The student must
exhibit past involvement with cattle production and plan to promote the
beef industry in the future.
Persons interested in the scholarship may request to obtain
an application form by emailing Joanna Schmeekle at
schmeek@ucom.net, calling 620-260-5010
or downloading a form found at
www.kansascattlewomen.org. The completed application form
and college transcripts must be received by April 30. The selection
committee will select the recipient and notify them so that the
recipient can attend Beef Empire Days in Garden City, Kansas.

Kansas CattleWomen (KCW) is a
group of women whose goal is to promote the beef industry through
education. Consumers of all ages benefit from our efforts.
KCW members have the opportunity to network, promote and make
lasting friendships with some of the greatest people in Kansas.
These dedicated women are willing to spend time and money to promote and
educate the consumer about BEEF.
You don't have to own cattle to belong, just an interest. Women
from all walks of life are making a difference!
