Kearny County was proclaimed a county on March 27,1888. There are three towns in Kearny County. The city of Lakin was founded in 1873. Kendall was founded in 1879 and Deerfield was incorporated in 1907. Kearny County has a population of 4,325. The Kearny County Health Department was started in 1950 by Claire “Tee” Fawcett, RN. |
