Printmaking 4th Grade

Fourth graders created a glue line drawing of a fish for their printing plate.  When the glue dried, a crayon rubbing was developed.  This print is a monoprint, although multiples could be made from this plate.  The next step was to create a new design using the printing plate by coloring it with brightly colored pastels.

 Printmaking 5th Grade

Fifth grade students created a repeat pattern crayon monoprint by coloring heavily on the inside of a sheet of paper.  The corners were folded over and drawn on with a black ball point pen.  The result is a repeat pattern monoprint.  The corners are curled out to reveal the design inside which shows both a positive and negative image.
