Fast Facts
The
students are working at their own level on fast facts. We practice our facts every day for 10 minutes. They are able to test on the set of facts
they are working on EVERY day. Once they
pass the test they are working on then they can move to the next set of facts. The facts progress in the following order:
Addition: +1/+0, +2, + sums of ten, + doubles, +doubles
+1, +9, +100 facts
Subtraction: -1/-0, -2, - doubles, -doubles +1, -9, -100
facts
Multiplication: x1/x0, x10, x2, x5, x3, x4, additional facts,
x100 facts
Division: x90 facts
The
students should be finished with addition facts by first 9 weeks.
They
should be finished with subtraction facts by second 9 weeks.
They
should be ready to begin multiplication and division by January and have them
mastered by May.
