MLA Format

Information you need:

1.     Author

·        Give his last name first, then a comma and then his first name.

·        Period

2.     Title of the book

·        Capitalize each important word and underline the whole title.

·        Period

3.     Publisher’s city

·        Colon

4.     Name of the publisher

·        Period

5.     Date the book was published  

·        5 May, 2005

·        End with a period

 

The following are examples for citing a document from various sources based on the MLA Style manual. Notice the order in which information is listed, the punctuation that is used, and the spacing of information. 

 

Websites ---

No Author:

Title. day month year. <source>.

Cyberbee. 28 Jul 2002. <http://www.cyberbee.com>.

 

Has an Author:

Author, First Name. day month year. <source>.
