At 6:30 p.m., Tim Miller called the meeting to order. Anne Jones was not present.
Anne arrived at 7:40 p.m.
Agenda
Cindy Messenger moved, seconded by Janet Sharp, to approve the consent agenda. Motion carried: 6-0
Jay Powers moved, seconded by Jon Becker, to approve the expenditures - $202,780.00 Motion carried: 6-0
Reports -superintendent
§ Kent Carmichael met with district office staff to review and finalize the plans for the district administrative center. March has been set as the target date to solicit bids.
§ an informative meeting of district site councils was held December 21st
§ two new heaters have been installed in the south elementary gymnasium
Recognition
discipline
A revised 2006-2007 draft school calendar was reviewed. A calendar committee meeting will be scheduled and recommendations will be brought back to the board.
New Business -appointment
Jay Powers moved, seconded by Cindy Messenger, to appoint Anne Jones to the calendar committee. Motion carried: 6-0

The district goals were reviewed.
At 7:25 p.m., Jay Powers moved, seconded by Jon Becker, to enter executive session for personnel matters for thirty minutes following a ten minute break. Executive session is necessary to protect the privacy rights of an individual(s). Motion carried: 6-0 Bill Biermann and Deb Nicholson were included in the session.
At 7:40 p.m. Deb exited the session.
At 8:00 p.m., Bill Biermann exited the session and 8:05 p.m., Jay Powers moved, seconded by Jon Becker, to extend executive session for an additional thirty minutes for the aforementioned matters. Motion carried: 7-0
At 8:45 p.m., Jay Powers moved, seconded by Jon Becker, to extend executive session for an additional fifteen minutes for the aforementioned matters. Motion carried: 7-0
Recess
At 9:00 p.m., the board convened in open session. Jay Powers moved, seconded by Jon Becker, to recess until January 10, 2006, at 6:30 p.m. Motion carried: 7-0

At 6:45 p.m., Cindy Messenger moved, seconded by Janet Sharp, to enter executive session for forty–five minutes for the superintendent’s evaluation. Motion carried: 7-0
At 7:30 p.m., Cindy Messenger moved, seconded by Janet Sharp, to extend executive session for an additional sixty minutes for the aforementioned matters. Motion carried: 7-0
At 8:30 p.m., Cindy Messenger moved, seconded by Janet Sharp, to extend executive session for an additional thirty minutes for the aforementioned matters. Motion carried: 7-0
At 9:00 p.m., Cindy Messenger moved, seconded by Janet Sharp, to extend executive session until 10:30 p.m. for aforementioned matters following a fifteen minute break. Motion carried: 7-0
At 10:30 p.m., board reconvened in open session. Mike Pfeifer moved, seconded by Jay Powers, to adjourn. Motion carried: 7-0
