From Pastor ' s Desk
June 8, 2002
The Lord encouraged me when our campers came home from the Wilds two weeks ago.
The Lord has begun a good work in the lives of some and continued His work in the
lives of others.
Not only was I encouraged, but also greatly burdened for them, as they have come
home with a new desire to serve. I realize how important it is that I pray more
fervently for them, that Satan would be bound in their lives and that God's Spirit
would have free reign.
My challenge to the young people is the one Paul gave to young Timothy,
“But continue thou in the things thou hast learned.”
(II Timothy 3:14) It is the Word of God that will
“make thee wise unto salvation…
” Satan knows if he can keep us out of the Word he can keep us from victory.
In II Timothy 3:16, 17, Paul lets us know how we can grow to maturity,
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine,
for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of
God may be perfect thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
In the weeks and months ahead make sure you stay daily in the Word of God and
applying it to your life.
